So I have heard of the new LED lights that they use on newer cars, but I guess I didnt realize exactly what the difference is. When cars have these kinds of lights they get faster illumination and the longevity is greater. A regular LED tail light is going to show a quicker response when it lights up when a driver brakes and the light is going to easier to see for the other drivers. This can actually be really beneficial even if it is only a matter of milliseconds. They first used LED lights in Cadillacs, but soon all the car manufacturers were putting them on their cars as well. Nissan headlights come in LED as well as Ford, Honda, and VW. This also makes the lights brighter, but without the blinding effect. It is a softer, brighter light that helps the driver see better and helps the other drivers by not blinding them with head lights and able to see other cars easier. LED bulbs tend to last a lot longer than regular bulbs, so they save money in the long run. I guess a lot of people are supposed to be able to see the difference in these lights, but I dont think many people are actually paying attention.
