For the last two months I’ve been searching for the perfect gift for my niece. Her birthday is right around the corner and she is totally picky when it comes to clothes. Last year I bought her a pair of Lil Swanky shoes because I knew that they were her favorite. But apparently I wasnt thinking all that clearly, because I got her a pair that she didn’t like it all. I totally forgot that no matter how old a girl is, patterns and colors and all that kind of stuff really matter. So I eventually had to return those and get her a new pair that she picked out herself.
This year though I was determined to get her something that I knew she would like. For a while now I’ve known that she’s quite fond of the new Trumpette line of clothing, so I went ahead and asked my girlfriend if she would help me pick out something that she might like. We made a whole day of this and I think we got a couple of really good choices. I know it would be a lot easier just to take my niece shopping so that she could get exactly what she wants, but that kind of defeats the purpose of trying to give someone a gift from the heart.
